The revised ISO 14001:2026 standard has now been published. Read the biggest changes here: https://true-solutions.co.uk/iso-140012026-now-published/
The publication of ISO 14001:2026 marks the start of the official transition period from ISO 14001:2015. If you’re already certified, your existing certificate remains valid during the transition period, and our team is here to help you plan a smooth, straightforward transition.
Organisations have until 30 April 2029 to transition from ISO 14001:2015 to ISO 14001:2026. Your existing certificate will remain valid during this period, provided your Environmental Management System continues to meet certification requirements. All ISO 14001:2015 certificates will expire no later than 30 April 2029.
Not necessarily. For most organisations, the transition can be completed during a scheduled surveillance or recertification audit. Alternatively, it can be carried out as a standalone transition assessment if required.
We recommend reviewing your current Environmental Management System against the updated standard and carrying out a gap analysis to identify any changes that may be required. Starting early allows you to plan updates without unnecessary pressure and we can help you every step of the way.
